I paint what cannot be photographed, that which comes from the imagination or from dreams or from an unconscious drive. I photograph the things that I do not wish to paint, the things which already have an existence.

I decided to stop painting and to devote myself to photography.

I have been a painter, a sculptor, a draftsman, a writer, a publisher, a designer, a decorator, a film maker, a photographer, but above all I have always been a creator.

An original is a creation motivated by desire. Any reproduction of an original is motivated by utility. The creation is related to the person who creates it, and the utility is related to the person who uses it, the latter having no desire to do so.

The only use of art is to express the unconscious.
