I am a collector of everything, and I collect everything. I collect ideas, I collect objects, I collect people.

I never do a painting as a work of art. I do it as a search.

I don't have a studio. I have a workshop.

What is a face, really? Its own photo? Its make-up? Or is it a mask? Or a skull? Or a historical document? Or a tree? Or a flower? Or a bird? Or a fish? Or a human being?

If I paint a wild horse, you might not see the horse... but surely you will see the wildness!
