Italian fascist who founded the National Fascist Party in 1919 and ruled Italy 1922-1943, before being executed by partisans in April 1945. Closely associated with Adolf Hitler (Axis ally and ideological successor) and Francisco Franco (Spanish authoritarian and ideological cousin).
