It's a troublesome world. All the people who are in it are troubled with troubles, except me.

I'm glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song, seems like we just got started and then before you know it, the times we had together is past.

You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.

And when you're alone, there's a very good chance you'll meet things that scare you right out of your pants. There are some, down the road between hither and yon, that can scare you so much you won't want to go on.

Why fit in when you were born to stand out?

I know, up on top you are seeing great sights, but down at the bottom we, too, have some rights.

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

You’re in a Slump! And you’re not feeling peppy. Your spirits will drop. Sadly, you’ll be in a slump too.

You'll be as famous as famous can be, with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.

And you know what? You'll be right for the most part, but the facts won't matter. It's often that way in the world.

I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am.

It's a great thing to be a writer. It's a great thing to write, and to do it for kids, that's just frosting on the cake.

You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room.

I never intended to become an illustrator or a writer. I was an artist. I intended to become a great American artist.
