The science is clear. We need to act now.

You still act as if there is no crisis, no matter how loud we scream.

I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day.

This is all wrong. I shouldn't be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean.

We are facing an existential crisis and it is completely ignored by the media and by those in power.

We children are not sacrificing our education and our childhood for you to tell us what you consider is politically possible in the society that you have created.

You are not mature enough to tell it like it is. Even that burden you leave to us children.

Change is coming, whether you like it or not.

When enough people are aware of the situation, then we can change.

I often hear adults say: 'We need to give the young people hope.' But I don't want your hope. I don't want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic.

We need to get rid of the idea that we can continue to live like today, and that we can solve this crisis with some technical solutions.

The time for talking is over. The time for action has begun.

We are just children, but we are not afraid to speak up.

This is a climate emergency. And we are not acting like it.

Why should I be studying for a future that soon may be no more?

You have ignored us in the past and you will ignore us again. You have run out of excuses and we are running out of time.

We will not let you get away with this.

The longer you wait, the worse it gets.

We need to listen to the science.

We are facing an unimaginable future if we don't act now.
