About Aung San Suu Kyi (born 1945)
Burmese pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace laureate (1991) who spent 15 years under house arrest before her party's 2015 election win. Closely associated with Václav Havel (Czech dissident-turned-president) and Nelson Mandela (the moral-leader template she was often compared to).
